Here are some more fun pictures of mine and Brady's fun lives! Our summer has been a lot of fun and we are planning on a lot more! I am officiall gruated from Big Bend CC, with an Direct Transfer Associates in Accounting. Brady will graduate in the fall and is taking a couple credits this summer to get finished. My summer job consists of working at a couple week long volleyball camps and working part time on campus in the technology department. Big Bend is getting a new website and I helped transfer all the information from the old site to the new one. The new site has gone live as of this week so we'll see if they need my help anymore. It's been a nice job for me, app. 16 hrs a week and I basically pick my own hours.
I went with the Coulston's my first day of summer to pick strawberries and made jam that night. I felt independant doing something I'd watched and helped my parents do for years but never done on my own! That day I was also in charge of setting up a 1/2 mile and 2 mile course for our ward activity. We had a fun run at 8 in the morning and served breakfast afterward. It turned out really well and we had a lot more people show up than I expected. I've continued to enjoy playing the piano in primary and really appreciate the opportunity to keep playing.
Our first Monday off off school and work Brady and I spent the day at the Moses Lake Aquatic Center. We had a blast spending the day outside and the weather, although not really hot, stayed plenty warm enough for both of us to get fried. Lets just say I handled it way worse than Brady, leading him to the conclusion that his wife is a big baby with very little pain tolerance.
We have also spent a couple weekends up in Newport with Brady's grandparents. The first Saturday we were there working when his Grandpa died. He was ready to go and we were just glad to be there as a family when it happend. Since then I have met basically all of Wayne's family so now I can have faces to go with names! So we spent the next Saturday in Newport having a memorial for Bud (Brady sang another beautiful musical number), a delicious dinner afterward, and then stayed (camped) overnight and spent Sunday with family also. After camping on an uncomfortable air-materess half the night and the hard ground the other half, I told Brady I was never camping again but he reminded me I'd already promised him a trip in August. From my experinces I just don't understand those people who enjoy camping. We actually had to drive accross the boarder to Idaho for church, but it was fun for Brady's family to see people they hadn't seen in years since they'd lived there.
Brady and I have also gone to see our second movie together, Transformers 2, been working on our arrangements for Eastern in the fall, continuing FHE, and continuing to learn.
We were able to visit Idaho for the first weekend in July. We stopped at Eastern on our way to take care of some business, and got to Idaho Falls pretty late Wednesday night. We woke up early Thursday to help my Dad with some work out back. It was our 6 month anniversary so we kind of celebrated by doing some needed clothes shopping and dinner at Winger's with Dad and Tyler. That evening we went boating with Lara, Jake, Steph, and Rod. It was so fun for me to be with them again and it was fun to share it with Brady! Although it said the water was almost 69 degrees, it felt freezing at 7:00 PM! We had a lot of fun that night but were extremely tired. Friday morning we headed up early to the Bear Lake cabin to meet Kristi, Alison (Kristi's friend), Mom, and Susan. We spent a wonderful day down there swimming on the beach and the resort pool, and celebrating Susan and Brady's birthdays that night. Again, it was fun to share with Brady! Early Saturday morning we visited Grandma and Grandpa Lindley on our way home. We left early to get back to a Dalling Family reunion at Green Canyon. It was a lot of driving for a quick dinner but it was good for Brady to meet that side of my family and for me to visit with relatives I haven't really talked to for over 2 years. We hurried back to walk around the green belt before the fireworks that night. It was a long day with a long of traveling. The fireworks were great and I think Brady was impressed. We drove home the next day so Brady could be back for school on Monday.
I'm already excited and wanting to plan our next trip/vacation! Although we always seem grateful to be home again, it is sooo nice to just get away for a bit and spend some extra time together. Sorry these are so long; if I'd do better at updating more often my bolgs might be a lot shorter! Well, you know I would always love to hear from any of you! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and doing as well as we are!
